“Lastly, on a personal note I want to say THANK YOU for making Dick Lamade my new best friend.   This program was a complex one regarding the ground transportation.   Normally the DMC will have several contacts during a program; the person assigned to the arrivals – the VIP’s person, the departures person… the lead at the Hyatt – the lead at the Gaylord ….. etc ….I believe you understand what I’m trying to say.

But you gave me 1 person for the whole transportation program and Dick knows his stuff.  This made my job so- so easy.

Announcement of 2002 Team Award Winners for the McDonald's Salt Lake Olympic Worldwide Activation Team. Dick Lamade of Convention Components is listed as a Team member by Jeff Stratton. Dick Lamade & Convention Components organized all the transportation (coaches, minibuses, vans, sedans & staff) for the attendees (corporate executives, the worldwide Olympic Crew & incentive program attendees) to get to their scheduled Olympic events daily for the duration of the Games.

AWARD RECEIVED

In 2002, Dick Lamade was one of 15 recipients a new award at McDonald's Corporation, US Operations. The Soaring Eagle award was given to members of the McDonald's team who made a significant contribution to the advancement of the McDonald's Corporation, U.S.  Although acting in a consulting position for McDonald's Corporation, Dick was named one of the recipients of the Soaring Eagle award for the part he played at the Salt Lake City Olympics on McDonalds' behalf.
